Job Summary:

The Cybersecurity Engineer will monitor and provide protection needs of information systems, networks, and platform information technology. The Cybersecurity Engineer will also implement the Risk Management Framework process especially for system categorization and control selection, implementation, and assessment, as well as continuous monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Must have experience with: Trellix/McAfee ePO (HBSS), Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical challenges to both technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders 

Requirements:

  • Must have an Active SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in an IT related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the DISA Risk Management Framework processes
  • Familiarity with the US Navy Risk Management Framework Process Guide
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Must be DoD 8570.1M IATII certified to include: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP
