Job Summary:

The ISNS Equipment Technician will provide Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS) technical support services to support Command, Control, and Intelligence (C2I) efforts. The ISNS Equipment Technician will also provide technical support, system testing, inspections and assessments to assess, inspect, and correct system faults within all variants of ISNS AN/USQ-153, including associated equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and correct anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems within all variants of ISNS AN/USQ-153.
  • Provide onboard maintenance training to ship’s force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance and logistics support of ISNS.

Requirements:

  • OS Required (any of the following): Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the troubleshooting, assessment, and repair

of the following systems (experience within the last 3 years):

  • AN/USQ-153 ISNS A(V)X or,
    • AN/USQ-153 ISNS B(V)X or,
    • AN/USQ-153 ISNS C(V)X or,
    • AN/USQ-153 ISNS D(V)X
    • AN/USQ-208 CANES
  • Security+ Certification
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment on the following systems/equipment, desired:
    • Fiber Attached Storage (FAS)
    • EMC Storage/Backup Solution
    • Operation Rolling Tide (ORT)
    • Windows Server Update Service (WSUS)
    • AN/UYQ-96 Computer Network Defense/Operating System Environment (CND/OSE)
    • Host Based Security System (HBSS)
    • Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS)
    • Combined Enterprise Regional Exchange Information System (CENTRIX)

Experience gained at a Mobile Technical Unit (MOTU), Fleet Technical Support Center (FTSC) or Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), desired.
