Software Developer (IAMD)
This role supports the development and maintenance of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) software application suite and facilitates the rapid, continuous deployment of mission-critical features utilizing a robust DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our NIWC PAC government customers, product owners, and cross-functional DevSecOps teams to deliver Fleet-deployable IAMD planning and battle management capabilities in direct support of Air Warfare objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Agile Development: Design, develop, and maintain software features within an Agile sprint framework to deliver continuous IAMD capability updates.
- Release Management: Support the generation and testing of Builds and Release Candidates (RC), verifying installations and executing critical workflow tests to ensure production readiness.
- System Integration: Develop software interfaces that leverage authoritative data sources and tactical networks while collaborating with DevSecOps teams for repeatable releases.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in peer code reviews and troubleshoot software defects, build failures, and environmental issues within a secure DoD environment.
- Performance Optimization: Develop performance-sensitive application components utilizing USN enterprise infrastructure resources (IaaS/PaaS).
Required Experience:
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript (software architecture, data structures, and I/O operations)
- Full-Stack development experience (coding, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment)
- Experience executing Agile release cycles (sprint execution, build generation, and release candidate testing)
- Operating Systems: Linux (RHEL), Windows
- Scripting/Programming: Bash, Python, PowerShell
Required Certifications:
- Active Security+ Certification
- OS Certification (e.g., RHEL/Linux, AWS, Windows)
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Required Security Clearance: DoD Secret
Salary Range: $120,000-$155,000
